News on Waitrose, Canary Wharf
Waitrose re-opened its largest branch on Thursday 8 September 2011 after a £15m investment that saw the flagship store expanded to 74,000 square feet. Thameside Fire are pleased to announce that they have successfully completed on time and on budget one of the toughest project challenges that our team have faced.
We have also had successful finishes on Waitrose Stores in Guernsey, Brent Cross, Canterbury and Hitchin, together with Waitrose Convenience Stores in Manchester and Cardiff.
Below is an Extract from a statement by Paul Choat, Associate
Director for and on behalf of Underwood Carpenter
"One of the toughest ever project challenges facing a Waitrose team, and I have to say that I was absolutely delighted with the camaraderie shown by the whole team. The shop looked magnificent yesterday morning and evening, the final account is agreed, the team delivered on time, ran a very effective site set up in an incredibly constrained environment.
I would like to express my personal thanks to all of you for your support on the project over the last 15 months; once again I find myself in a very fortunate position of having worked with a fantastic team who have happily carried my dead weight! "
