A busy week here at Thameside Fire
Thameside Fire Protection are excited to announce that we are now fully certified on Tyco Aquamist ULF enabling us to carry out the full design and installation of these systems. Moving forward this will enable us to greatly broaden our reach of works providable and help clients protect their most valuable assets!
What is Aquamist? Well, this system functions via the usage of water that is fed through a specialised nozzle, creating micro droplets in mist form, that will suffocate fires using minimal amounts of water thus creating less water damage. The benefits of using such a system being that it can be used within a variety of high importance areas such as data rooms and can even be installed within generator rooms with fossil fuels present!
What else did some of our engineers do this week…
2 of our extinguisher service engineers have been servicing all the fire extinguishers at one of the largest hospitals in Essex and installed over 40 new fire extinguishers.
2 of our fire alarm service engineers had a varied week, servicing the fire alarms at a care home, shopping centre, a waste recycling site and a major manufacturing site and private apartments. Covering Hampshire, Surrey, Kent and Essex. A varied week indeed!
The Sprinkler install division continued with sprinkler installations in some of London’s largest construction sites.
We also finished a complete replacement sprinkler fire main at a manufactural site in Essex.
Our Passive Division carried out an inspection and certification of fire doors in a large private apartment block in London. While also carrying out vital penetration repairs in student blocks in Essex.
Just a normal week for our team
Incidentally and not Insignificantly – Thameside Fire was formed in September 1985, so we are now in our 39th year!
